Hello everyone! I just wanted to give a friendly reminder that I will be attending an event hosted by Jordan Brand this month in Tampa, Florida. Jordan Brand is partnering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention. As you all know who follows me closely, I lost my brother Jace to suicide in 2020. Losing Jace had to be the worst thing that I could ever imagine. He was more than just a brother, he was my best friend. When I heard the news, I froze...It had to be the worst day of my life. From then on, I wanted to make a change and do my best to spread his story and spread awareness about mental health. This cause hits home for me and since having been struck by this tragedy in my family, it made me realize how important it is to reach out to individuals. Everyone has a battle they are fighting, some battles may be on the outside but there are many battles we fight on the inside.
That being said, I want to take this opportunity to reach those who may be struggling with depression and mental health. The battle is everyone but I just want to let everyone who is struggling that you are not alone and this event is to help take your mind off any issues you may be dealing with and enjoy quality time with others who are dealing with the same battles. Those attending will be receiving a free t-shirt for attending and if you draw a number at the beginning of the event, there is a chance you will be winning a free pair of Air Jordan 1s autographed by Michael Jordan himself!
There will be local food trucks to supply food and beverages for everyone attending, so come on out and enjoy yourself with people who understand! We will all be walking for those who have lost their lives to this epidemic and we welcome anyone willing to support the cause. Did I mention that Michael Jordan himself will be there to support the cause?
Please come out to support this cause in Upper Tampa Bay Conservation Park at 3 p.m. on December 20th and join our fight against suicide and promote mental health awareness. You have no idea how important reaching out can be to those struggling, if you have had this affect you in some sort of way, you know how much having someone to listen means. These events should happen more and I will do my absolute best to spread this message as long as I am alive and well.
Thank you for your time and I will see you in Tampa Bay!
